Hey all!

Wow, time really flies around here! It's already been a month!
Well, JPA is at an important juncture at this point... we'll be having our Annual General Meeting on the 3rd of May. Many important things will be discussed and one of the main issues that will be discussed on that day is the appointing of new Executive Members.
We will update more about what transpired during the meeting at a later date; so please do drop by this place often ya :)

Hi all!

We're back..and sorry for the lack of updates :) We've been pretty caught up with other stuff.

So here's what we have been up to - Mainly planning the concert and coming up with guidelines for our Youth Drop-In Center.

We'll update more about the concert at a later time. For now, WE'RE SEARCHING FOR VOLUNTEERS!! :D We need youths to be part of our new initiative - a Youth Advisory Panel (YAP). The YAP will come together to plan all the events related to JPA and basically be the brains, heart and hands of the association :)

Here are the general guidelines for the YAP:

SCOPE

TO ORGANIZE EVENTS FOR YOUTH
TO GATHER FEEDBACK ON A REGULAR BASIS
TO MAINTAIN AND RUN THE DROP-IN CENTRE AND ITS ACTIVITIES
TO REPORT DIRECTLY TO JPA
TO BE PART OF JPA's MEETINGS, WHEN APPLICABLE
TO BE PART OF CRITICAL DECISION-MAKING PROCESSES
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ASSOCIATIONS ACTIVITIES

CRITERIA

YOUTHS AGED BETWEEN 17 AND 25 YEARS
PREFERABLY SCHOOLING IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS
PASSIONATE ABOUT YOUTH AND SOCIETY IN GENERAL
GOOD MORAL STANDING
SPONTANEOUS AND VIBRANT

BENEFITS

PRIVILEGED USE OF FACILITIES
CIP POINTS
HAVE A PLACE TO CALL YOUR OWN
INVOLVEMENT IN THE BETTERMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY
CHANCE TO EXPAND YOUR SOCIAL NETWORK
GAIN VALUABLE INSIGHTS ON THE COMMUNITY SCENE IN SINGAPORE AND ELSEWHERE

Hi all! Well, we're in the midst of fund-raising right now!! We've got plans to organise a concert, a trip to a disaster site and start a donation drive! Things are sure getting exciting around here :) Well, with the flurry of activity in recent weeks, we've come to realise even more, about how much of help we're gonna need from individuals and organisations alike. So, if you feel like lending a hand in our efforts to improve things in our community, please do drop us an email or give us a call ya!?

Currently, we're looking into partnering with companies to improve the marketability of our donation coupons...An example would be like selling a coupon with a small portion dedicated to a discount voucher from a food outlet/ bookstore. So people, if you have any ideas, PLEASE, do let us know of them k?! Your contributions are much appreciated :)
